The Iranian intelligence Ministry issued on Thursday a report announcing that it has arrested the Mossad-linked assassins of nuclear scientists Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan, and Majid Shahriari.
"The key perpetrators of the assassinations of Majid Shahriari, Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan (two of the slain nuclear scientists) [...] were identified and, in a series of rapid and authoritative operations, were arrested and transferred to detention facilities," the ministry report indicated.
According to local Iranian news agencies, the Intelligence Ministry's statement highlighted the intelligence investigations conducted after the assassinations, which led to the identification of "Israeli" intelligence officers and their agents, with reference to the Mossad's role in these assassinations.
"A series of heavy and thorough intelligence operations which begun after the assassination of our first nuclear scientists ... led to the identification of a number of agents [gathering information] for the fake regime that rules over the occupied territories," the statement further read.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has strictly condemned the US and the "Israeli" entity for ongoing attempts to target and assassinate its nuclear scientists, especially after a US presidential campaign in 2011, which called for covert operations targeting Iranian nuclear scientists and the whole Iranian nuclear program.
