Lahoud: Resistance Persistent, No Civil War in Syria
Local Editor

The former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud assured that "We all have a duty, to resist the occupants until liberating the last iota of our land."
In a statement to al-Binaa newspaper, Lahoud stressed that the Resistance is persistent, and will be always victorious, also noting that the Army will hit with an iron fist to protect the country.
Lahoud pointed out that Lebanon is in a state of deterioration, just like happened in 1982, because the "Israeli" enemy does not want Lebanon to be a strong country and rather wants it to be a country divided due to strife.
The former President slammed those who say Lebanon should be impartial on Syria, reminding that it had supported the Resistance against "Israel" in the years 2000 and 2006.
On a related note, Lahoud iterated that those who fear "Israel" are agents, and that as long as we are triumphant, the Arab rulers will remain to fear their people's rebellion against them.
Moreover, Lahoud assured that Syria is remote from experiencing civil war, despite the Saudi and Qatari sponsoring to thearmed groups. He considered that the US administration thinks in a pragmatic manner, and will ask Qatar and Saudi Arabia to stop this support as soon as their efforts fail. Instead, it would ask them to send someone to negotiate with Syria on behalf of the US.
