Hundreds of "Israeli" and Palestinian activists gathered on Friday in the village of Susya, located south of the West Bank, to call against Zionist plans to demolish the entire Palestinian village.
Although the protest kicked off peaceful and nonviolent, yet the "Israeli" army fired stun grenades, tear gas canisters, and threatened to use "skunk" water against protesters, the 972mag.com reported.
As a result of the "Israeli" attacks to disperse the demonstration, a protester was injured in the head.
Susya village is under threat of total destruction, after the so-called High Court of Justice issued an order to stop the constructions in the village.
The protest aimed at reaching an archaeological site, originally resided by Palestinians who were expelled in 1986, after the "Israeli" occupation found remnants of a synagogue in the area.
According to the 972mag.com report, the great turnout at the protest to support to the tiny West Bank village, was the result of the coordination between Palestinian activists and committees all over the West bank towns, including Maasara, al-Khalil (Hebron), Beit Jala, Bethlehem, and Bilin. The overall number of activists taking part in the protest was estimated to be around 500, some 300 among which were anti-occupation "Israeli" activists.
