Saudi activist group urged international rights organizations to have fact-finding meetings with jailed Shiite cleric Sheik Nemer al-Nemer.
Al-Nemer's arrest on anti-state charges has sharply escalated tensions in Saudi Arabia's restive Eastern region.
Sunday's statement by al-Sharaq Human Rights Center expressed concern for Sheik al-Nemer.
The center revealed that he has not been allowed to see lawyers or relatives since his arrest earlier this month.
Earlier, Sheikh al-Nemer's brother also called on the Saudi people to continue demonstrations against the al-Saud regime.
He made the remarks in a mosque in the city of Awamiyah on Friday, a few days after Sheikh al-Nemer was attacked, injured, and arrested by Saudi security forces while driving from a farm to his house in the Qatif region of the Eastern Province on July 8.
According to Press TV, Sheikh al-Nemer's brother addressed the Saudi officials and said, "These are the bullets that you fired at innocent people. Where are the bullets that we fired at you?"
Meanwhile, Saudi protesters held an anti-regime demonstration.
The demonstrators took to the streets in Buraydah, about 380 kilometers (236 miles) northwest of the capital Riyadh.
At least four people have been martyred and many others injured in the crackdown on demonstrations against the detention of the cleric.
On July 13, Saudi security forces in the town of Awamiyah killed an 18-year-old protester during a demonstration held near a police station in support of Sheikh al-Nemr.
At least 10 female protesters have also been arrested in the city of Buraydah over the past couple of days.
