It seems that the Lebanese government succeeded in dismantling Akkar's fabricated bomb.
As some parties work on agitating the situation along the Northern Lebanese borders, the government redirected the security situation back to its place:
Lebanese Army is the fortress to protect Lebanese and it will fail all attempts to drag it into sectarian quagmires.
Burns to Beirut
However, US blatant interference seems not to end. Few days, after right wing Senator called from Lebanon to establish a buffer zone to facilitate the move of the so-called Free Syrian Army members as well as arms smuggling, US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns is to be in Beirut in the next hours.
"An-Nahar" Lebanese daily reported Tuesday that Burns arrives in Beirut on Thursday.
"In his two-day visit the US official is scheduled to meet with House Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Future bloc leader Fouad Saniora and Army chief Gen. Jean Qahwaji," the paper learned.
It further uncovered that Syria is the core of the man's visit to Lebanon.
LA to Northern Borders, Expanding Investigation on Sheikhs Death
Meanwhile, the Lebanese government held a marathon session Monday in which the country's security situation was on the top of discussions.

After a seven-hours session, the government approved Monday a plan to boost the presence of the LA along the northern borders with Syria.
A well-informed source clarified to "al-Akhbar" daily that "the purpose of this resolution is to prevent the infiltration of insurgents and the smuggling of weapons as well as to put an end to violations."
"The government reiterated dissociating Lebanon from the Syrian events and its rejection to the establishment of a buffer zone in Lebanon," the source said.
In parallel, the government recommended expanding the investigation into the killing the two Northern Sheikhs Ahmad Abdel-Wahed and Mohammad Hussein al-Mereb.
"The council of ministers tasked the justice minister with asking the General Prosecutor to directly supervise investigations, particularly in light of the demand to expand investigation," Information Minister Walid Daouq told reporters.
The government also decided to form a committee to be headed by PM Mikati to look into demands by security bodies for telecommunications data essential for investigating assassination plots.
The data is to be limited to a certain geographic location and after the approval of a three-member expert judicial committee.
"As-Safir" Lebanese daily commented on the session by saying: "In its ordinary session, the governmental session at Baabda Presidential Palace came satisfactory to all parties: for the majority, the opposition, the Lebanese Army, and to those who threatened with doom and destruction."
"President Suleiman appeared as the Head of national Security Council as he proposed a report similar to that presented by the Secretary-General of the United Nations Security Council over 1701 resolution," the paper viewed.
"As-Safir" mentioned that "Suleiman granted Lebanon's security council the right to veto."
It also pointed out that "pro-Aoun ministers, who ended their boycott and attended Monday's session, did not object to a deal on "Kweikhat." In turn, "the guardians of blood" accepted the ministerial decisions."
Meanwhile, the government will meet again Tuesday in a bid to approve the state budget and refer it to Parliament for debate and approval before the summer holiday and perhaps Eid al-Fitr.
Hostages Issue Back to Forefront
On another level, families of the 11 kidnapped men in Syria discussed the issue of their sons with Speaker Berri.
As they reiterated to Berri that Lebanese authorities must exert more efforts to ensure the release of the men, they clarified that " their patience has limits."
For his part, Speaker Berri assured them that " he will follow up on their case until they are released."
According to "an-Nahar" daily, Berri "informed the families that the negotiations with the kidnappers reached the final stages."
It also revealed that Berri stated that "President Suleiman will head to Turkey in the upcoming two days to address the case of the 11 hostages in Syria there."
"Suleiman was set to head to Ankara a while ago, but the downfall of the Turkish warplane by the Syrian army prompted the postponement of his visit," "an-Nahar" quoted Berri as saying.
