Local Editor

Spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ramin Mehmanparast, stated that the Syrian government adopted constructive steps in the reform process and the fulfillment of the Syrian people's legitimate demands.

During his weekly Press Conference on Tuesday, Mehmanparast noted that since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, Iran called for stopping all kinds of violence, and yet some countries still sought to stir up internal clashes, by supplying the armed groups with money and weapons.

Furthermore, he iterated Iran's preparedness to join together the Syrian government and the opposition in a dialogue, to create the appropriate environment to solve the Syrian crisis.

"Iran is exerting all possible efforts to restore security and stability to the country," the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman went on to say.
In addition, Mehmanparast stressed the importance of cooperation between all countries to reach a final solution for the crisis.
Citing the opposition's demands, the Iranian official said that they should be done through dialogue, without violence and foreign interference.
