The cabinet will convene to discuss many livelihood, political, and economic issues, supposedly to serve the Lebanese people. This comes in light of international pressure soaring against Syria, and "Israeli" conspiracies targeting Hizbullah.
Despite the foreign interference phantom still seeking to camp in Lebanon, the resistant country remain steadfast and adherent to its national unity and resistance.
Cabinet Convenes to Serve Lebanon
On the Ministerial level, the Lebanese Cabinet is scheduled to convene Wednesday afternoon, in order to discuss the livelihood and economic status, especially in light of the ongoing strike by public sector employees.
According to sources from the Grand Serail, as-Safir daily stated that the cabinet will adopt the special ministerial committee's decision in regards to the "ranks and salaries chain", stating that the government would not meet any demands under pressure.
Also, the sources believed that the country must have had issued an increase in the livelihood spending for the public sector, after issuing it for the private sector. However, this issue was not examined, and therefore the situation led to the current crisis, the daily added.
Suleiman Protests Syria for Lebanon-involved Incident
More on the Lebanese cabinet, it is supposed to discuss the Syrian issue and ways of tackling it, after the security developments that occurred on the borders, as-Safir newspaper indicated.
This comes especially in light of a recent appeal by Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, from Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour, to summon Syrian Ambassador Ali Abdul Karim Ali, and officially protest the Syrian army violations into Lebanese territories in the Bekaa area that damaged a house.
However, informed sources confirmed to as-Safir daily that the said house is located exactly on the borderline; an area from where ammunition was fired towards the Syrian territories, leading to a Syrian Army response; therefore causing damages to the house.
On this level, Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, had discussed this issue with Lebanese Foreign Minister, Adnan Mansour, and was informed of details of the situation on the borders.
In the same context, March 8 sources told as-Safir daily, that the Lebanese President's stance demonstrated a lack of balance, as he didn't take into consideration that the shooting is taking place from the Lebanese territories towards the Syrian territories, and that arms are being smuggled via the border from Lebanon to Syria.
However, the sources added that there is no intention to bring up an attitude against the President in this regard, as it displays no interests for any of the parties.
Mansour Keen on National Interest
On his part, Minister Mansour confirmed to al-Jomhouriyah daily, that he is seeking Lebanon's interests, while others seek their own interests. He stated that he will respond to all doubts and fabrications against him at the right moment.

Mansour clarified that a March 14 delegation visited him on Tuesday, during which both parties discussed the issue of the Lebanese citizens living abroad, and how would they be able to vote during the upcoming elections. On this level, Mansour asserted that, unlike some lies and fabrications, they did not discuss anything related to the Syrian violations or the protest letter ought to be delivered to the Syrian Ambassador.
In an interview with al-Akhbar daily, Lebanese Foreign Minister noted that he will not send a letter of protest to Syria, stressing that "both countries share special relations and bilateral agreements."
"The Foreign Ministry will prepare a letter that seeks to bring to the forefront the events occurring on the northern and Bekaa borders," Minister Mansour iterated.
He stressed that this issue should be contained in diplomatic means, asserting that this is one of the Foreign Ministry's duties, and it will not be discussed on Wednesday's ministerial session.
Furthermore, Mansour made clear that Syrian Ambassador Ali did not verbally attack President Suleiman, reiterating that Syria is a sister country, and relations with it will not fallback now or in the future.
EU Rejects Blacklisting Hizbullah
On another hand, the European Union (EU) refused an "Israeli" request to enlist Hizbullah on its list of terrorism. "There is no consensus for putting Hizbullah on the list of terrorist organizations," said Cypriot Foreign Minister Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis, whose country currently holds the rotating EU presidency.

During a news conference held after annual EU-"Israel" talks, "Israeli" Foreign Minister Evigdor Lieberman claimed that "the time has come to put Hizbullah on the terrorist list of Europe."
However, Kozakou-Marcoullis responded to the bold "Israeli" request saying, "Hizbullah is an organization comprising a party as well as an armed wing and is active in Lebanese politics."
"Taking into account this and other aspects there is no consensus for putting Hizbullah on the list of terrorist organizations," she said.
"The EU would consider this if there were tangible evidence of Hizbullah engaging in acts of terror," she added.
