Bahrain: Regime Forces Fire Tear Gas, Rubber Bullets at Peaceful Protesters
Local Editor

Like every Friday, anti-regime demonstrators are subject to Bahraini regime security forces violence, that aim to crush the popular protests in the Persian Gulf state.
On Friday, 27 July, Bahraini regime forces fired tear gas and rubber bullets at the protesters during ther demonstrations in Sitra.

According to sources, also overnight protests were staged in several villages, including Na'eem, Al-Eker and Karabnah calling for the downfall of the Al-Khalifa regime.

The Bahraini protesters expressed solidarity with the imprisoned Saudi cleric Sheikh Nemr al-Nemr and demanded that the activist be freed without delay.
Despite the heavy-handed crackdown by the regime forces, the peaceful protesters keep to demonstrate the oppression they are being subject to, in protests that first started in February 2011.
