Ahmadinejad Warned of Crushing Response to Aggressors
Source: Presstv.ir, 12-11-2008
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned possible invaders of a crushing response should they commit an act of aggression against Iran.
Addressing the public in the northern city of Sari in Mazandaran Province, President Ahmadinejad cautioned the enemies of Iran to avoid using the language of force against the Islamic Republic.
"Superficial changes in governments and administrations will have no effect on us. Any one who uses the language of force and selfishness will get a clear response from the Iranian nation," Ahmadinejad said.
The Iranian chief executive stressed the importance of a sense of honor and dignity for the country, slamming the hegemonic powers' attempts to suppress the dignity of the Iranian nation.
On Wednesday, Iranian armed forces successfully test fired a new generation of surface-to-surface missiles as part of their defensive drive.
The launch of the Sejjil missile signifies Iran's determination to promote its conventional defense capability, Iran's Defense Ministry announced adding that it is yet another indication of the ability of Iran's armed forces to defend the nation's territorial integrity.
Iran has promised to respond to any aggression by targeting "Israel" and 32 US bases in the region with its long-range missiles.
The Sejil test-fire comes at a time when "Israel" and its main ally the United States have repeatedly threatened Iran with an attack on its nuclear facilities, under the pretext that Tehran, a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), is seeking to build weapons of mass destruction.
