The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, Mohammad Rida Shibani said that "The formation of government is a Lebanese issue, more so than it is linked to abroad," adding that "The government must be accomplished in the Lebanese kitchen," and hoped for a speedy delivery of the Lebanese government after overcoming obstacles most of which are "administrative," as he put it.

Shibani gave these words during his visit to the tomb of martyr commander Hajj Imad Moghnieh, where he placed a wreath of flowers before leaving Lebanon to the Islamic Republic of Iran, to assume his new responsibility in the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Shibani stressed that "The policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Lebanon is consistent and does not change as persons alternate," promising to do his best in any new responsibility he assumes, to serve the common interests between Lebanon and Iran."
