13 Killed in New Iraq Violence Attacks

Local Editor

At least 13 Iraqis were killed, while more than 50 others injured in several attacks in Iraq, as violence still sweeps across the country.

In Balad city, north of Baghdad, two explosives implanted in motorcycles were detonated in two markets, after which a third explosion went off near a police station in the city late on Friday, AFP reported.

Also on the same day, individual gunmen fired at a checkpoint in the Khan Bani Saad city, northeast of Baghdad, while another roadside bomb exploded near an army patrol in Baquba.
