Bahraini Regime Crackdown Continues against Peaceful Protesters

Local Editor

Bahraini anti-regime protesters took to the streets in the city of Sitra on Friday, demanding the downfall of al-Khalifa regime, and the immediate release of political prisoners. Demonstrators also expressed solidarity with detained Saudi cleric, Sheikh Nemr al-Nemr, and demanded his release.

In response, Saudi-backed regime forces attacked the protesters with toxic tear gas canisters and rubber bullets to disperse their gathering.
