At least three people have been killed in fresh clashes between Buddhists and Muslim Rohingyas in Myanmar, a government official says. According to reports, some 650 Rohingyas have been killed and thousands more displaced only in recent months.

The government of Myanmar refuses to recognize Rohingyas, claiming they are not native to the country. This is while the Rohingyas migrated to Myanmar as early as the 8th century.
